With the partnership of our amazing City Council members, I am happy to report I successfully delivered on my 2022 campaign platform to achieve notable accomplishments in Hospitality, Opportunities, Prosperity, and Engagement.
As a servant leader with a passion for people and informed decision-making, I hope you agree. Below are a few highlights:
Completed a poverty study and approved a new city department for Economic Empowerment and Family Resilience. Assisted city staff in planning and hosting forums for businesses seeking certification as Small, Women, And Minority (SWAM) owned.
Supported the opening of new apartments downtown and the planned redevelopment of Lincoln Park; welcomed new development in the Hampton Commerce Center, NorthPoint, and Manekin.
Successfully worked with diverse stakeholders to build awareness and consensus in community problem solving.
Always visible, accessible, and available to listen and understand constituent needs, concerns, and recommendations.
Championed the expansion of the Summer Youth Employment Program and expanded sports and historical tourism events.
Supported pay raises and city coverage of increases in health care premiums for employees
